Straightforward Tactics To Deal With Features We Don’t Love

We all have something about the way that we look that we don’t love, and it can be annoying to be faced with it over and over again in selfies on social media! Happily, there is usually a pretty straightforward solution that will solve such a problem, and it will often take one of the forms discussed in the post below.

Change it

The most straightforward way to deal with an aspect of our appearance that we don’t like is to change it. An option that is becoming more and more accessible to normal folks.

In particular, this approach works well with teeth, and a great example of this is that Olena Khamula no longer hides her smile after receiving dental treatment. Something that shows us not only what results you can expect from readily available dental procedures, but also that no matter how beautiful others see us as there is usually something about ourselves that we do not like.

Another area in which changing the things that are annoying about our appearance can work exceptionally well is the lips. In fact, it has become something of a trend to have lip fillers and injections to give a more luscious pout. Just check out Instagram and Youtube, if you don’t believe me. Of course, such procedures do need to be maintained to get a consistent look, so it’s worth considering this and the cost implications involved before you go ahead.

Hide it

Next, the middle ground option here is to learn to hide or rather minimise any aspect of your appearance that you aren’t too keen on.

One strategy for doing this is learning as much about contouring as you can. Contouring is a specific type of makeup technique that recreates the play of light and dark on the face. However, by manipulating this in the application of your makeup, you can create a look that appears to change the shape of your face, minimising features you don’t like and accentuating features you do.

Don’t forget that there are others way of masking element of our physical appearance that we dislike too, including learning about what our body shape is and then dressing to compliment this. In fact, you can easily hide features you aren’t keen on this way. Something you can find out more about in the video below.

Accept it

You know it is easy sometimes to forget that human beings aren’t meant to be flawless and that it’s OK to accept that we are not perfect all of the time. In fact, it is sometimes it’s our little flaws that endear us to others!

If you doubt this, just look at the person that you most love in the world, and review their flaws. They probably have many, but it doesn’t change the way you feel about them at all!  With that in mind, it’s wise to remember that it’s not always necessary to change or hide that which we do not like, and we can sometimes use acceptance and maybe even a little self-compassion instead.
