It’s time to decorate! Kids’ bedroom ideas
It can be difficult to keep on top of your kids’ rooms! What with all the toys, the artwork, the books, the cuddly toys and goodness knows what else, sometimes it’s easy to forget that there’s even a carpet in there!
So, if you’re feeling the need to revamp their room before things get too out of hand, then read on! Here you’ll find some easy peasy kids’ bedroom ideas!
Switch up their lighting
Lighting is important in any bedroom, and if your child is still a little wary of sleeping with the lights off, then it’s crucial that you get this right. Now is the time to get rid of all those old, dusty lampshades and those table lamps that have seen better days. Have you considered LED lights? They’re stylish, affordable and can help reduce your energy bills too, they’re also easy to replace too with LED bulbs from LED Hut.
If you’re looking for something with more of a theme then why not try a mini chandelier for your little’s princesses room? Or a rocket light fixture for all your little astronauts? Making their room special and personal to them will make them want to spend more time in there!
Do you struggle to find a place to keep all the “pieces of art” that they bring home from school or nursery? It’s near impossible to keep hold of every single scribble but for those extra special pieces, why not create a little gallery for them? There are several ways to do this, either with a length of string along a wall and the pictures pegged securely, or you could go a little further and frame each picture and hang them up along the wall. It’ll bring out their inner Picasso!
This is ideal if you’re living in rented accommodation and want to avoid making more permanent changes to their rooms. Wall stickers have become very popular over the last couple of years and it’s easy to see why!
They’re not only durable and long lasting, but if you search online – you’ll find that they are quite literally available in any design, size or colour that you could dream of! Want to create a jungle scape for your little monkeys? Or maybe you want to add a touch of magic with some fairies? The possibilities are endless!
Again, if you’re not permitted to paint walls or decorate then don’t worry. You still have options. Even a plain, white room can still be eye catching and personal to your little one – all you need is some brightly coloured accessories! Some multicoloured bunting along one of the walls perhaps? Or a bright, jazzy bedspread with bold, colourful cushions? Bright toy boxes, eye popping bookcases, and colourful rugs – all you need is a little imagination.
Have you heard of chalkboard paint? Why not dedicate an area of your child’s bedroom to it? They can then go freehand and draw, colour and design to their hearts’ content!
