We have to say, the country that we live in really is underrated. There’s so many different locations that will leave you feeling like you’re somewhere else. This poor perception might be because we’re usually stuck with the bad weather, cold weather, or just a bad stigma. However, at the minute, we’re being blessed with some of the best sunshine that we’ve ever had, and it seems like it’s here to stay! This weather only wants to make us get outdoors, and when you do want that, we’ve got some great destinations for you to go to! Have a read, and let us know which one you would pick!
Devon is arguably one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. We have kept it as just Devon, rather than honing in on a specific area, because we feel that there are many aspects of it that make it great. Considering the weather that we’re having, you’re going to want to be at the beach. Woolacombe beach is a really nice one to visit if you’re looking for some beautiful sands, and a lot of space for you and your family to enjoy. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay, there are plenty of family holiday parks in Devon that you could choose from, it all depends on what type of experience you want, and what you want the holiday park to have. Most of them are in prime locations so that you can either explore the beach, or you can can explore some of the lovely locations for some shopping. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, Devon has plenty of places that give you that wonderful seaside view, whilst enjoying a really nice fresh cooked meal. Not to mention that the fish and chips are out of this world!
It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, Edinburgh is beautiful. Whether you’re visiting it during the cold winter months, or going for a lovely sunny day like we’re having at the minute. It’s full of cobbled streets, historic buildings, and not to mention the famous Edinburgh castle. There’s plenty to see and do here, it’ll be fun for the whole family no matter what time of year that you go. We will warn you that accommodation is going to be more expensive than you will find at other places in the UK, especially if you’re planning to go on a weekend.
Back to a beach destination, and what a destination to finish with! St Ives is such a beautiful location, that attracts thousands of tourists through the summer months. There really are some beautiful stretches of beach here, with lovely blue waters for you to dip your toes in. It also has some of the best cliff tops walks that you could ask for. Again, the price of accomodation here is higher than average, and if you go when the weather is like this and on the weekend, you’re probably going to end up spending an absolute fortune.
