Halloween is absolutely one of my FAVORITE holidays, so when Toni from Design Dazzle asked me to join some of my talented blogging friends to bring you over 110 fabulous Halloween ideas, I had to say “yes”! From costumes to parties, crafts to home decor, recipes to free printables, we have so many fun ideas to share! I guarantee you’ll find a project (or 10!) that you would love to incorporate into your Halloween festivities. All week (Monday through Saturday) my blogging friends will be sharing our fun creations with all of you. Each day will include approximately 20 Halloween projects and you can “hop” from one blog to another to check them all out. You can head over to Design Dazzle and see all the other days projects and check them all out. Today is my day to share my project:
Halloween Beeswax Candles
I created these Halloween beeswax candles to share with you today for this awesome blog hop. As you know from my Beeswax Birthday Candles post I love to use beeswax sheets. They are super easy to use and allow you to create awesome candles for any occasion. Its also a great craft to do with children.
I started this project by ordering Halloween colored beeswax sheets from Ruhl bee supply. I placed my beeswax sheets on a silicon baking mat that I got from Pick Your Plum (affiliate link), heated it up with my heat gun, and used my cookie cutter to cut out my Halloween shapes.
I cut out 6 pieces of the same shape.
I cut out some black circles using my punch (more info in the beeswax birthday candle post) for the ghosts eyes, and put them on one of the layers.
I warmed up 3 ghost layers and put them together. I placed a wick on the top and placed the remaining 3 layers on top, making sure the ghost with the eyes was on top.
That’s it! Isn’t that super easy?! Its a great activity for kids. They can let their creativity run free.
I also created some other shapes, including a black cat.
and a small and large pumpkin.
I also created some rolled beeswax candles. I rolled black beeswax around a small red layer of beeswax and them rolled it in red flake glitter. This created an spooky Halloween candle. When this candle burns you can see the red center giving it a very creepy effect. I also created a purple rolled candle with black accents.
I hope you enjoyed the look at my Halloween beeswax candle army and that I have inspired you to make your own beeswax candle for any season you are celebrating, not just Halloween!
