Holiday Handmade Gift Exchange

I am so excited!  This is the first year that I am participating in the Handmade Gift Exchange hosted by Craftaholics Anonymous.  The idea is that you get paired with someone else who you make a gift for.  You then get a gift back.

Today, I am going to share the gift that I made for my partner!

My partner stated that she really liked desert and sweets so I start off by making her my favorite Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies.  The cookies are full of chocolaty goodness, but with a kick from cayenne pepper.  Yum!  I then drizzle melted chocolate on top.  These are crunchy and perfect with a warm glass of milk…and I don’t even like milk.

I put my yummy cookies into a sage and white chevron snack bag, closed it with washi tape, and added a fun tag with bakers twine, which of course all came from Pick Your Plum.

Next I added a holiday crackers filled with lots of fun fillers!

6 Christmas CrackerJust like the ones from this post.

My partner is also a huge pig lover so I added a pig bookmark.

7 Pig bookmarkAren’t they so cute?  The pigs came from the Lawn Fawn Critters on the Farm set.

Remember those cute surprise vials I made?  Well of course I had to make one for my partner.  I use a pink present from Stamp Delights, since my partner loves bright colors.  I also added a hook to the top so she could make it into a ornament or necklace.

The next item was a set of wood-burned wooden silverware.  I will be doing a post on this project soon.  :)9 Wood burned set 10 set togetherAren’t they fun?

Finally, I created a burlap stocking with red iron on vinyl.  I thought it would be a perfect way to send all the fun small gifts to my partner! :)

Have you ever done a gift exchange?  So far it seems super fun!
